KD11 S Tool Steel
KD11S is a premium grade air hardening tool steel.
KD11S is a refined processed material making it a cleaner material than standard D-2.
KD11S is capable of machining 150% of carbon tool steel and has a cutting tool life more than twice when compared to standard D-2 tool steel.
KD11S is superior to standard 0-2 tool steel and offers the same levels of abrasion, wear resistance and fatigue properties.
KD11S is sold in the annealed condition, typical annealed hardness is BHN 253 HRB 98.
KD11S maximum hardness is BHN 670 HRc 61 and can be heat treated the same as standard D-2.
